Flexi-Scope Lessons
Guided Activities for Teachers and Students
Flexi-Scope Lessons help teachers introduce students to the economical Flexi-Scope digital microscope. These Guided Lessons and Student Activities will help them learn how to use the microscope to explore their environment.
These lessons cover not only the “how” to use Flexi-Scope and “what” are you going to look at, but more importantly, the “why” are you using a microscope to look at objects. These lessons focus on Grades K–6. While microscopes play an integral role in science classes for older students, we’ll leave the integration of those studies to their teachers and the microscopes they already use.
The activities are aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards of the National Science Teaching Association Standards.
The open-ended activities will engage the students in your school for hours throughout the year. Activities are age-appropriate, and include a matching game for young learners, and a creative writing project for older students as they become microscope-using detectives.
