Teaching Others To Teach With 'Bots

Nikolaos Chatzopoulos is the Director of Innovation at Plato Academy Schools, and founder of the ST4T Conference, held June 7-9 in Clearwater, FL where you can see Nik demonstrate Bee-Bot, Blue-Bot, and Pro-Bot. His enthusiasm for the 'bots is infectious and his creative approach to integrating them within the curriculum provides ideas for other educators to use in their own classrooms.
Not only does Nik enjoy teaching with Terrapin products because they inspire students to teach themselves, he also features them in presentations and workshops on coding, STEM, and technology in the classroom. He says,
"One thing that pleasantly surprises me is that upper elementary and middle school students are able to figure out more advanced functions on their own, without any substantial support from me or their teachers. At times, it seems like they are teaching us!"

Bee-Bot is a star attraction at the Kids Programming School held June 18 in Tokyo, Japan. The all-day event brings 2nd graders and their parents to Tokyo University to learn coding skills and compete to navigate Bee-Bot around a community route map.
