Perloff Foundation Brings Bee-Bots to Maine
The Perloff Family Foundation, supported by Dave and Sandy Perloff, funds educational innovation in Maine through grants to schools throughout the state. The objective of the Foundation’s grant making is to provide a source of funding that enables teachers to be educational innovators who are committed to planning, risk taking, and achieving timely results. In 2022, the Perloff Foundation celebrated its 22nd year of grant-making in Maine.
Bee-Bots fit this goal and through its grants, the Perloff Foundation has brought Bee-Bots to schools throughout Maine, with 14 having been awarded funding for Bee-Bots and related materials at last count. Maine teachers report that Bee-Bots are great motivators for teaching regular lessons in innovative ways while at the same time helping students develop logic, estimation, counting, and planning skills.
