Imagine holding an event that drew over 4,500 people, and giving them an opportunity to discover what Blue-Bots can do!
The Space Foundation Discovery Center in Colorado Springs did just that on May 2 to celebrate National Space Day. Terrapin was honored to provide the robots.
Andy Rizzo, Space Foundation Education Manager, reported the success of the event:
"The Blue Bots were a great hit! I was able to work with them for most of the morning and the batteries were still going strong after 2 hours of nearly constant use.
"We had lots of families very excited to see them. Some knew them, and others had never seen a robot they thought was 'cute.' Many times, we would have families with much younger children who could not handle the more advanced robots, but when they saw the Blue-Bots, they were very pleased to still be able to participate. Parents would get down on the floor with their kids and have fun learning and interacting with the robot together. Lots of the little ones would be rather shy and/or upset because they thought they wouldn’t have anything to do, but as soon as we said they could use the Blue-Bots, they would light up and run to the robot to get started. The Blue-Bots were a great addition to the event!"
