EdSurge Case Study Reviews Bee-Bot
Holly Whitt's students develop reasoning skills

Holly Whitt, librarian at Walnut Grove School in New Market, AL, submitted a Bee-Bot case study to EdSurge, a site which helps schools find, select, and use technology by encouraging educators to share experiences using technical products.

In her case study, Engaging K-2 Students in Computational Thinking and Mathematical Reasoning Process, Holly explains how using Bee-Bot helps teach critical thinking skills and develop teamwork among her students. She found that Bee-Bot offers "an excellent way to encourage questioning and persistence in problem solving."

Terrapin encourages teachers to post a case study on Edsurge as a resource for other educators.  We are also happy to hear about your experiences with Terrapin products and share them in the Stories section on our own web site.

Free Mat Download to Blue-Bot App
Download Terrapin Mats into the Blue-Bot App for FREE
Terrapin's new Mat Downloads page offers properly formatted and sized images of Terrapin mats to download into the Blue-Bot app. Matching app and classroom mats lets students practice moving Blue-Bot on the same background on-screen and off to reinforce the concept of remote control.

Follow the simple instructions on the Mat Downloads Page to download, align, and add the mats to the Blue-Bot app.  This only needs to be done once per tablet since mats are stored in the app until deleted.

Terrapin also offers an on-line Bee-Bot mat emulator that runs in a browser.  The mat downloads and on-line emulator are both free!
